HKU/SICOT Training Fellowship (closed)
Co-funded by the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, University of Hong Kong & SICOT
The HKU/SICOT Fellowship will be awarded to an orthopaedic surgeon from Asia to undergo a twelve-week training program in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, The University of Hong Kong.

During the fellowship period, the awarded fellows will be given the opportunity to observe the clinical service and participate in research works in one of the following orthopaedic subspecialties:
There will be two places in the year 2014 (July to September and October to December). The applications for the year 2014 have to be submitted before 31 March 2014. The result of the fellowship will be announced by 15 April 2014. Upon completion of the fellowship, a formal report is required from the selected candidate.

- Foot and Ankle Surgery
- Hand and Microvascular surgery
- Musculoskeletal oncology
- Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
- Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery
- Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
- Spine Surgery
- Sports and Arthroscopic Surgery
- A round trip air ticket of economy seatÂ
- Accommodation in hospital accommodationÂ
- Daily allowance of HK$ 100 for the duration of the fellowship

Pre-requisites:
- SICOT paid up member from Asia region
- Age under 40
- Language skills (either one)
- A basic command of oral and written English is required
- Ability to communicate in Chinese (Putonghua or Cantonese)
- a detailed curriculum vitae;
- a best published scientific paper; andÂ
- a letter of recommendation by the supervisor/chief of the department
